It is now autumn, and all fruit has produced well this year and given high yields, I was in a situation being offered apples from everywhere, neighbours, Darrell’s customers and I don’t like to say no!
This is why at our latest dinner party we had a ‘Trio of apples ‘ as dessert and I will share the recipes with you. All went down very well- using what we have seasonally in abundance.
For my Trio of apple dessert I served an Individual spiced crumble, a small wedge/slice of French apple tart and a neat small square of Toffee apple bread and butter pudding.
All packed full of flavours with a twist on basic recipes. With a choice of cream and vanilla custard or both. A sweet treat – special occasion , don’t count the calories here!!-
